Serbian Minister of Education Zoran Loncar and European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Training and Multilingualism Jan Figel agreed late yesterday that reform of education in Serbia is developing well and that it should be continued.
At a meeting held as part of the reception at the Belgrade City Hall, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Loncar said that the Serbian Ministry of Education will place special emphasis on education of national minorities and lifelong learning of adults that should create opportunities for many people in Serbia.
Underlining the importance of implementation of the Bologna declaration, Figel said that Serbia will be given support in that process and added that next year, 120 students from Serbia will be given scholarships for studying in Europe.
