Djelic pointed to the fact that due to its large deficit, Serbia wishes to increase exports to Russia, in which process participation by Serbian building firms in the infrastructure works for the 2014 Winter Olympics will be of great significance, as well as increase in number of licenses issued for transport vehicles which carry goods from Serbia to Russia.
He also expressed gratitude for Russia’s support in resolving the issue of the future status of Kosovo-Metohija.
Following talks with the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Zhukov said that there is a great future for relations between Serbia and Russia. He added that even now policies of the two countries are very close, and there are opportunities for improving economic relations, by increasing business by Russian companies in Serbia.
Many Russian companies are interested in large projects in Serbia, said Zhukov. He pointed to the fact that Russia also welcomes the arrival of Serbian companies.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister said that he accepts the invitation extended by his Serbian counterpart to visit Serbia when possible with great pleasure.
