15 members of drug trafficking group arrested

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that through a joint action conducted by the criminal police department of the Ministry of Interior and the Novi Sad police 15 members of a drug trafficking group were arrested in Novi Sad, Ruma and Irig.
According to the statement, this group bought, produced and sold heroin, cocaine and marihuana.
They acquired narcotics through secret channels, and repacked them in rented flats in Novi Sad. They organised street sales through dealers who were engaged for the work.
A search of these flats and other premises in several locations in Novi Sad, Ruma and Irig led to the discovery of large quantities of narcotics, money and weapons, concludes the statement.
