Ljajic said on the occasion that during the previous six years a sum of RSD 4 billion was invested in these three municipalities in southern Serbia, and added that the priority in the upcoming period is to invest in infrastructure and economic development.
He stressed that emphasis will be laid on the process of integration and inclusion of ethnic Albanians in the national judiciary, health and education systems, as well as in other areas of social life.
Commenting on the situation in Sandzak, he said that the state and international organisations should invest more funds in infrastructure and in the process of employing young people since that is the best defence against political and religious extremism.
Vollebaek offered support for projects which relate to the process of integration of ethnic minorities in Serbia, adds the statement.
