Serbian Minister of Finance Mirko Cvetkovic said today in talks with representatives of the judiciary trade unions which are on a strike that there is no scope for increasing salaries for employees in state organs until the end of this year.
A ministry statements says that representatives of judiciary trade unions which are on a strike are demanding that salaries be increased by 100% for non-judicial personnel employed in judicial organs, and recalls that the fund for salaries was determined in advance through the 2007 budget.
Cvetkovic said during the meeting that talks on salaries from the budget will be held during the upcoming two months with trade unions in all sectors in order to determine salaries for 2008.
The Minister outlined to trade union representatives that they should participate in talks on salaries in 2008 and added that the Finance Ministry will consider all agreements prior to drafting the 2008 budget.
