Kostunica meets with Austrian Vice Chancellor Gorbach

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with Austrian Vice Chancellor and Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Hubert Gorbach.
The two officials agreed that cooperation of Serbia-Montenegro and Austria is very good, and also expressed readiness to further economic development.
Kostunica sad that the government is opted for institutional building, the rule of law, independent judiciary, fighting corruption, as well as creating favourable environment for foreign investments.
Gorbach said that Austria has the potential and is ready to be the bridge in connecting Serbia-Montenegro with the European Union.
He said that great progress has been made over the past three years in the two countries’ economic cooperation, adding that the scope of trade exchange has been doubled. He proposed forming of a joint working group that would address development projects in the field of transport.
The Serbian Prime Minister said that Austria’s support in the process of European integration is significant, adding that Serbia-Montenegro is very interested to cooperate with Austria in the field of transport infrastructure.
