The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated today that a seminar was held at the training centre of the ministry on Mt Avala for top police officials in the area of strategic management, analysis and problem oriented policing as part of the project “Problem Oriented Work in Serbian Police”.
According to the statement, the seminar was arranged jointly by the Serbian Ministry of Interior and the Norwegian Police Directorate and it was realised in the framework of long term bilateral police cooperation between the two countries in development of problem oriented policing in Serbia.
Head of the Uniform Police Directorate General Mladen Kuribak and Norwegian Ambassador to Serbia Haakon Blankenborg said on the occasion that there is successful cooperation between Serbia and Norway and police of the two countries in developing and strengthening democratic institutions. They also underlined the support provided by Norway to the Serbian Ministry of Interior in developing capacities through training and equipment, which is an important precondition for reform of police service.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Norwegian Police Directorate as well as representatives of police from Belgrade, Valjevo, Sabac, Smederevo, Jagodina and Pozarevac.
