Hickey especially praised the look of the Olympic Village and said that Belgrade stands out from other cities in which EYOF was held by the spirit of unity that is felt in the Olympic village, owing to which Belgrade's guests feel like at home.
At the same time, the Minister and representatives of the Olympic Committee agreed that this event, after years of isolation, is very important for the improvement of Serbia's image in the world, but also for all young people in Serbia who will have an opportunity to meet their peers from 49 countries of Europe.
Samardzic-Markovic informed the President of the European Olympic Committee and his associates with the priorities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and these are the adoption of a new, modern law on sports and a strategy of development of sports, and the adoption of amendments to the Law on prevention of violence in sporting events.
