We express deep concern and we ask you to take measures to protect that all citizens of Serbia living in the area of Sar Planina national park are protected, Dragin said in the letter.
According to latest information, the fire threatens to spread to the nearby settlement of Strpce inhabited by some 14,000 Serbian citizens.
Dragin also offered necessary manpower and technical support to help bring the fire under control more efficiently.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection will inform the public on the situation in the terrain, the statement added.
Sar Planina became the Serbian national park in 1961.
