Kostunica, Mazeaud on Serbia’s constitutional reform

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with French President’s Special Representative and Constitutional Council President Pierre Mazeaud.
The talks covered forthcoming constitutional reform in Serbia and the two officials agreed that reforms in transition countries are impossible without a firm and reliable legal framework.
Kostunica stressed the importance of strong democratic institutions, the rule of law, and independent judiciary in Serbia.
Mazeaud conveyed greetings from French President Jacques Chirac and stressed the importance of cherishing the traditionally good relations between the two countries.
