Kostunica pointed to the good relations between the two countries and thanked Slovakia for its constructive support to the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.
Kukan said that Slovakia, as a member of the European Union, can now do more to help Serbia-Montenegro, stressing that there is readiness for that.
The talks also covered the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the need to decentralise the province so as to protect the Serb minority.
Kostunica noted that Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija need institutional guarantees in order to ensure their survival in the province.
Both officials expressed readiness to further improve all forms of cooperation between the two countries, and Slovakia announced a liberalised visa regime for Serbia-Montenegrin citizens.
