Serbia supports negotiations on Kosovo without predetermined outcome

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic said yesterday during the talks with US Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried that the Serbia supports further negotiations on Kosovo between Belgrade and Pristina without a predetermined outcome.
Jeremic said that Serbia opposes independence of Kosovo and truly pledges for a compromise and sustainable solution acceptable for both sides.
Serbia is dedicated to democracy, freedom, rule of law and European future of the region, but the only thing that we cannot do is to renounce one part of our territory, the Minister said.
Fried repeated the positions of the US government related to Kosovo status settlement, according to a statement.
