Sale of counterfeit goods with Rolling Stones’ logo to be stamped out

The Serbian Ministry of Trade and Services stated today that the Market Inspection Sector will begin intensive control aimed at preventing the sale and distribution of goods with the counterfeit Rolling Stones’ logo on Serbia’s territory.
The statement adds that the campaign will be particularly thorough on the territory of Belgrade, primarily in front of and in the vicinity of the concert location at Usce, where the band is to play on July 14.
The Market Inspection Sector is acting on the demand for the protection of intellectual property posed by the Dutch Anti Counterfeiting Group “SNB-REACT” from Amsterdam and pursuant to Article 22 of the Law on special authorisations with the aim of efficient protection of intellectual property rights.
All counterfeit goods will be immediately temporarily seized and withheld until the court procedure is completed, reads the statement and adds that once it is confirmed that the goods are counterfeit, they will all be destroyed.
