Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said today that the government will provide tax incentives for domestic cinematography in next year’s budget so as to make conditions for its competitiveness and to lure foreign productions.
Djelic said that the drafting of the bill on cinematography and film-related laws has been completed noting that these documents should be adopted by parliament in the next six to twelve months.
He announced that the state will solve the legal and financial problems of film company Avala Film in the best interest of domestic cinematography.
Djelic said that cinematography has large economic potential and can bring over €1 billion a year which is why it needs stimulation.
The Deputy Prime Minister also announced partnership talks of government representatives with German film and TV services company ARRI.
