Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Popovic and Republika Srpska Minister of Economy, Energy and Development Rajko Ubiparip talked today about construction of new hydro energy potentials in the Drina basin.
The Ministry says in a statement that they agreed that in the next two weeks a committee of experts from Serbia and Republika Srpska will put forward a proposal of further activities which will contribute to better exploitation of the river’s capacity.
The ministers also discussed possibilities for cooperation in the gas sector, that is, creation of the necessary conditions in Serbia and Republika Srpska for more intensive gasification and increased safety in gas supplies.
Popovic and Ubiparip also talked about cooperation between their countries’ electric energy sectors, the possibilities for joint participation in tenders in regional countries and other aspects of cooperation in the energy sector, adds the statement.
