Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac stated today that Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania will carry out the first trilateral military exercise on June 25-29, titled “Danubian Guard 07”, in the border zone on the Danube.
The statement adds that on June 27, the central part of the exercise will be performed in the area of the village of Srbovo, at which presidents of the three states will be present – Boris Tadic, Traian Basesku and Georgi Prvanov.
The exercise aims at training national crisis management systems and over 1,600 soldiers and civilians will take part in it.
Bulgaria will have 360, Romania 700 and Serbia 550 representatives including members of armed forces, police, foreign affairs and other state organs in charge of the safety.

Memorandum on the exercise was signed on June 14 in NATO Headquarters in Brussels by defence ministers Dragan Sutanovac, Veselin Bliznakov and Teodor Viorel Melescanu.
