Serbia, Italy to improve economic and cultural cooperation

Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic talked today in Belgrade with his Italian counterpart Massimo D'Alema about Kosovo's future status, process of Serbia's accession into the EU and further improvement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Jeremic underlined that Serbia advocates a sustainable and compromise solution for the status of Kosovo-Metohija that will preserve Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The two officials voiced satisfaction over the resumption of negotiations between Serbia and the EU on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, as well as optimism that the agreement will be signed soon.
In addition, Jeremic and D'Alema evaluated positively the development of the overall bilateral relations between Serbia and Italy and expressed willingness to improve economic and cultural cooperation.
