Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Slobodan Milosavljevic presented today during the meeting with a delegation of the Japanese company Itochu Serbia's agricultural resources and capacities of the processing industry, as well as possibilities for the production of healthy food in Serbia.
Managing Director of Itochu for Central and Eastern Europe Keisuke Matsua and Project Manager Nobumasa Hidako said that the company is very interested in the purchase of agricultural products from Serbia, above all sugar corn.
Apart from Milosavljevic, the talks were also attended by State Secretary for Agriculture Ljubisa Dimitrijevic and Advisor at the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Bojan Jankovic. The participants in the talks reached an agreement to organise a presentation of Serbian agriculture and agricultural products in Japan late this year or early next year.
