Serbia considers Taiwan as part of China

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated today following the recent appearance of the “Atlas of Asia” and “Atlas of the World” books on the Serbian market in which the Chinese province of Taiwan is considered an independent state, that the official position of the Republic of Serbia is to support the policy of one China, which means that Taiwan is its integral part.
Serbia does not recognise Taiwan’s statehood and considers the government of the People’s Republic of China the only Chinese government, the Ministry states adding that the Serbian government support Taiwan’s peaceful association with its source state.
The Ministry underlines that Serbia and China have traditionally close and friendly relations and that the two countries are working jointly on the promotion of their cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally.
