Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic opened today in Medvedja a new and modernly equipped classroom for education of police officers, built as part of the project themed “Police in the Local Community”.

The Ministry of Interior says in a statement that Jocic said the Serbian police are ready to meet the needs of citizens in all parts of the country and will efficiently answer their legitimate and legal demands.
The Minister voiced pleasure at good cooperation with local communities in the South of Serbia and added that in order to create a safe community, the entire society must establish trusting and reliable relations and cooperation with the police.
The project, within which classrooms in Medvedja, Presevo and Bujanovac were built, was implemented by the Minsitry of Interior together with the OSCE Mission to Serbia and with financial assistance of the Norwegian government.
