Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Slobodan Milosavljevic met today with Austrian Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management Josef Proell and said that there are realistic chances for cooperation between Austria and Serbia in agriculture and trade.
Milosavljevic thanked Proell for Austrian support in Serbia’s EU integration process.
He stressed the importance of Austria as partner in foreign trade exchange of agricultural food products and as a country whose agricultural practice Serbia wishes to implement in its own agriculture policy.
Proell voiced gratitude for the reception and proposed making a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries, which would clearly specify the activities and concretise prospective projects of support and cooperation.
Participants in the meeting reached an agreement to form expert teams of the two ministries and to work out the first draft of the memorandum within 20 days.
At the end of the meeting, Milosavljevic accepted Proell's invitation to visit Austria soon.
