Minister for Diaspora Milica Cubrilo, right, speaks with representatives of the IOM
This project envisages that 25 Serbs with higher education who have a permanent residence permit or citizenship in the Netherlands, temporarily return and work in Serbia in order to give their contribution to the country's development with their knowledge and work in the private and public sector.
The project's pilot phase lasts until April 2008, and Serbian experts who take part in it can return to Serbia for a period of six months.
Interested institutions from the public and non-governmental sector can turn to the Ministry or the IOM office in Belgrade in order to get information on potential candidates and their qualifications.
Prospective employers will not have to bear any costs for experts they employ in Serbia because the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs will cover the costs of air tickets, remuneration and residence in Serbia.
IOM is realising the project of temporary return of experts in the several countries of the region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, with the aim of assisting their development.
