Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo met yesterday with head of Italian bank "Banca Intesa" Belgrade representative office Gervasina Bissolino. She briefed Bubalo on the bank's current activities in Serbia, and its future plans concerning privatisation of Serbian banks, particularly of Vojvodjanska and Komercijalna banks.
The minister said that opening of foreign banks' representative offices in Serbia is very important. That will encourage foreign companies to invest in Serbia, who will feel safer because of the presence of banks from their own countries.
