In his two-day visit to Belgrade, Shahal met with representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mining and the Ministry of Finance, as well as with representatives of the Serbia-Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also visited companies Jugoimport SDPR and Energoprojekt.
He discussed with his collocutors the opportunities for engaging Israeli-American investors in energy, construction, banking and finances, as well as oil industry, with a special overview of the application of the free trade agreements that Serbia-Montenegro has signed and ratified so far.
They concluded that there are realistic chances for development of overall economic bilateral cooperation of Serbia and Israel. It was agreed that businesspeople from Israel visit Serbia in the third quarter of this year with a view of implementing this cooperation.
