Police seize over 20 kilos of heroin

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that after several months of intensive investigation the police cut off another supply chain of the “Balkan drug route” and seized over 20 kilos of heroin.
The statement adds that the police arrested Sucro B. (22), who tried to smuggle 20 kilos and 218 grams of heroin into Western Europe countries. During a search of his automobile, 20 packages of heroin covered in Sellotape were found.
Had it reached illegal market, the seized heroin would be worth around €2 million.
Sucro B. was taken before the investigating judge and the police will continue investigating the case as there are grounds to believe that other people are involved in this smuggling route, adds the statement.
