Serbian Minister of Education and Sports Slobodan Vuksanovic announced today that considering that the law regulates that tuition fees are set by faculty managements, he will suggest to rectors and senates of state universities that tuition fees are not increased this year.

He said that the Ministry hopes that the tuition fees will remain on the same level as last year so as to support the families of current and future students.
He explained that the Ministry will provide necessary funding for expenses influencing the price increase of tuition fees.
According to Vuksanovic, the number of freshmen this year will be the same as last year, namely 14,880 students financed from the budget and 15,143 self-financing students.
