Malic announced that the Council will hold a meeting on April 19, which will mark the end of Serbia’s presidency in this organisation.
Foreign affairs ministers of Russia Sergey Lavrov, Greece Theodora Bakoyannis, Turkey Abdullah Gul confirmed their participation. Also participating will be foreign ministers of Romania, Armenia and Azerbaijan whereas other countries will be represented by deputy foreign ministers, Malic said.
She noted that a Belgrade declaration will be adopted and that two memorandums on understanding and construction of main roads and Black Sea Ring Highway will be signed.
According to Malic, the Serbian six-month presidency was successful particularly because BSEC had its first meeting with the European Commission during Serbia’s presidency.
Deputy Director General of the General Directorate for the EU Ambassador Dragan Momcilovic said that a ministerial conference of the Danube Cooperation Process will be held on April 18.
According to him, this conference will be attended by foreign affairs ministers of the Danube countries, Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe Erhard Busek as well as European Commission representatives.
