Serbian Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic said today that the travel magazine "Serbia – National Review" is a good editorial and publishing concept that presents Serbia in a good light through several fields - economy, travel, culture, history, spiritual heritage and mentality.
At the presentation of the magazine's first issue at Tanjug's press centre, Dimitrijevic said that it will go out once a month in Serbian and English, published by the Serbian Tourist Organisation (TOS) and Princip Bonart Press.
He said that Serbia should be a mix of the traditional and the modern, since tradition is important because of Serbia's identity which is imperiled at the moment, while the modern is important because of cultural and civilisation ties with the world.
TOS Director Miodrag Popovic said that Serbia’s promotional campaign abroad has yielded results as the number of foreign tourists in Belgrade increased 16% in January and 20% in February although the tourist season has not begun yet.
He also said that Italian crew of MTV is shooting a show called “Welcome to Serbia”.
"Serbia - National Review" is for domestic and foreign market, diplomatic, consular and economic offices, and will also be available on information points along Serbia’s main road corridors, according to Popovic.
