Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov, EU Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs and energy ministers of Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy will tomorrow in Zagreb sign a ministerial declaration on the construction of the Constanta-Pancevo-Trieste pan-European oil pipeline, whose value is estimated at over $2 billion.
Radomir Naumov
The signing of this act is a new strong impetus to realisation of this regional infrastructure facility as well as to improved cooperation of the countries in the region and other countries that have shown interest in this project.
The 1,319 km pipeline will cross the territories of Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy and will be of great importance to tanker transportation in Bosporus and Dardanelles as well as in the Adriatic Sea.
The project is worth nearly $2.6 billion and the pipeline is expected to be put into operation between 2011 and 2013.
