The Serbian Ministry of Health stated that as part of realisation of the project "Policy of primary health care in the Balkans", jointly conducted by this ministry and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the first introductory meeting with representatives of pilot community health centres in Serbia was held today.
The meeting was opened by Serbian Assistant Minister of Health Goran Ilic and CIDA representative Srdjan Svircev.
The main aim of the project from 2006 to 2009, which is financed through a donation of the Canadian government worth 3.5 million Canadian dollars, is offering additional assistance to the reform of the system of primary health care.
