Serbia-Montenegro included in UNCTAD's list D

Serbian Deputy Minister of International Economic Relations Ljubisa Jovanovic attended the 11th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), at which Serbia-Montenegro was moved from the list A, which includes countries in transition, to the list D, which includes central and eastern European countries in transition.

The 11th UNCTAD conference was held from June 13 to 18 in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with the theme "Enhancing coherence between national development strategies and global economic processes towards economic growth and development".
The conference included the third round of negotiations on the Global System of Trade Preferences Among Developing Countries (GSTP), a high-level round table on trade and poverty, the annual conference of the world association of investment promotion agencies, and a number of round tables on regionalism, trade, transport and gender equality.
