The Serbian Prime Minister stressed that it is possible to reach a compromise through negotiations, while upholding international law, and that is substantial autonomy for Kosovo-Metohija within the borders of Serbia.
Kostunica warned that any other solution which would be imposed could have grave and major consequences for stability.
He said that a growing number of countries, including Spain, are firmly advocating respect of the fundamental principles of international law which are the basis of world order and stability.
Kostunica pointed to the fact that standards in Kosovo-Metohija have not been fulfilled, and basic human rights are not being respected.
He said that relevant international organisations must immediately react and put an end to the constant threat of terror against Serbs posed by ethnic-Albanian separatists in the province.
Moratinos expressed concern regarding the failure to implement standards in Kosovo-Metohija, and added that the OSCE is closely monitoring the negotiations on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija, since the organisation considers that stability in the region is very important.
Moratinos stressed that major reforms have been implemented in Serbia in several areas, adding that the OSCE has excellent cooperation with governmental institutions.
