Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic and Romanian Minister of Justice Monica Luisa Macovei signed today in Bucharest a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Serbian and Romanian justice ministries, which represents a contribution to regional cooperation and development of relations between the two ministries.
The Ministry says in a statement that during the meeting, Stojkovic and Macovei discussed Romania's experiences in the EU accession process which could be of use to Serbia on its way to EU membership. They thus confirmed that the two countries are determined to make a constructive and important contribution to the EU integration process and development of bilateral relations.
The ministers also remarked that it is necessary to establish better cooperation between the countries' competent organs when it comes to fighting organised crime, terrorism and human trafficking, in whose suppression the international community is particularly interested.
