According to the statement, the suspect travelled to Serbia on January 26, 2007, across the border crossing “Surcin”, together with three Chinese citizens one of whom is underage, who were given false Korean passports with the intention of transporting them illegally to Italy.
It was established that Kim Man Sik engaged in human trafficking of Chinese citizens starting from Hong Kong, via Dubai, Istanbul, Belgrade and Milan, with the purpose of taking them illegally to EU countries for a sum of €10,000 per person.
The investigating judge of the Belgrade District Court has ordered that the suspect should be detained for 30 days, and the Chinese citizens have been placed in a refuge for foreigners in Padinska Skela, reads the statement.
