Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Secretary-General Johnny Akerholm signed a memorandum of understanding today, allowing Belgrade to host the bank’s 14th Annual Meeting on May 22 and 23, 2005.
The organisation of the EBRD Annual Meeting of great importance for Serbia and Belgrade which will welcome around two thousand state officials, representatives of financial organizations, and businessmen for the two-day meeting, said Dinkic.
A board, comprising officials of the Serbian government, Belgrade authorities and other institutions and organizations, will coordinate preparations for the Annual Meeting.
As part of their two-day visit to Belgrade, EBRD officials will have the opportunity to make sure that ongoing preparations are in line with the memorandum, Dinkic added.
