The Serbian government has decided at today's session to prematurely settle the debt towards Serbian citizens by paying out one sixth of the debt to pensioners on January 10, 2007, and a quarter of the debt towards farmers on January 15.
It also adopted the Conclusion on allocating a one-off assistance to employees in social care institutions who will get RSD 4,000 each.
The government adopted the Bill on territorial organisation of the Republic of Serbia and the Strategy on Improving the Position of the Disabled in Serbia.
It also passed the sectoral investment plan in the energy sector and decided to open the "Vrsac" border crossing for international air traffic.
At the session today, the government decided to set up the council to prepare and monitor Serbia's Presidency over the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers. Serbia will preside over the Committee in the period May-November 2007.
It was also decided to amend the Decree on the manner and procedure for determining the price of most popular cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, smoking tobacco and other tobacco products.
The government also determined the fee for marking and registering animals, and made a decision to open a general hospital in Sabac.
It also gave consent to tariff systems for the access to and usage of electricity transfer and distribution systems.
Furthermore, it consented to tariff systems for accessing and using natural gas transport and distribution systems.
It approved the annual agenda of the Agency for Licencing Trustees in Bankruptcy for 2007 and gave consent to the 2007 annual agenda and financial plan of the Serbian Agency for SME and Entrepreneurship Development.
It also agreed on the rulebook on citizens' health care rights and the terms of compulsory health insurance for the upcoming year.
