Large investments show strength of Serbian economy

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica stated today that large investments, such as the purchase of Telekom Srpske, show the strength of the Serbian economy and announced that new and sizeable investments will soon follow on the other bank of the Drina.

In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Kostunica said that together with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik he determined the path for binding their countries' economies. He also added that Serbia will soon emerge as the most important regional investor.
Kostunica stressed that it is natural that Serbia should take up the position that belongs to it, adding that Telekom Srbija has already become a regional leader.
The Serbian Prime Minister said he was pleased to accept Dodik's invitation to attend the singing of the contract between Telekom Srbija and Telekom Srpska in Banjaluka, adding that in the upcoming period even more contracts will be signed in Belgrade and Banjaluka.
Strong economic development of Serbia and Republika Srpska is our joint goal and it is also in our interest, as well as in the interest of entire region and we are heading toward it in the best possible way, concluded Kostunica.
