The Internal Control Police Sector of the Serbian Ministry of Interior stated today that Serbian Assistant Minister of Interior Vladimir Bozovic, in the capacity of national coordinator in Serbia for the Council of Europe programme Police and Human Rights, took part in Europe’s First International Family Justice Centre Conference, which was held yesterday in Croydon, UK.
According to the statement, during the conference which dealt with issues of violence, particularly domestic violence, Bozovic met with British Minister of Constitutional Affairs Harriet Harman, leader of Croydon Council Mark Fisher, Croydon Borough police Commander Mark Gore, director of the Croydon Family Justice Centre Jill Maddison and director of San Diego’s Family Justice Centre Gael Strack.
It was concluded at the conference that the fight against violence, and particularly against violence within the family, should be conducted with a high degree of effective and proactive cooperation between representatives of police, judiciary, local self-government, media, social and humanitarian establishments and individual public figures through concrete projects and campaigns.
