At the summit, at which the Serbian delegation was led by Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo, successful reform implementation in non-EU CEI members was welcomed. The participants of the summit also acknowledged the reorganisation of pre-accession funds intended for countries undergoing the accession procedure.
Delegation heads agreed that regional stability, development of democratic processes and fight against organised crime and corruption are primary tasks that will help speed up the EU accession process.
Furthermore, they stressed the importance of economic links in the region, free flow of goods, people and services, as well as regional development of scientific and technological structures.
Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo addressed the summit and said that Serbia's position regarding Kosovo-Metohija is well-known and that the preamble of the new Constitution best illustrates it, adding that any alternation of borders will be a factor of instability in the region.
CEI presidency for next year has been delivered to Bulgaria, concludes the statement.
