Bozovic acquainted the participants of the 6th conference of EU heads, agency representatives, inspection and supervisory bodies engaged in fighting corruption with the results achieved by the Serbian police interior control department, as well as with the position, role and competence of the department established in line with the Law on police.
Conference participants welcomed the efforts to set up interior police control in Serbia and pointed to the necessity of strengthening and improving this process, reads the statement. The statement adds that the conference approves of the initiative to set up an international network for independent supervision of police and is observing the initiative on an international association of anticorruption authorities.
During the conference Bozovic also talked with heads and representatives of interior control departments from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
The collocutors shared their experiences and knowledge regarding police control and the fight against corruption and agreed to keep in touch with the aim of boosting cooperation through various practical measures.
