Information on measures necessary for preventing and reducing pollution in Pancevo adopted

Belgrade, 23 November 2006

The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Information on measures and activities necessary for preventing and reducing air pollution in Pancevo, and the bill on ratification of the European Charter on local self- governments.

The government adopted a Decree on amendments to the Decree on coefficients for calculating and payment of salaries to employees in the public services. Amendments regard the increase in salary coefficients of those employed in elementary and secondary school establishments, employees in student centres and health.

A Decision on issuance of Serbian securities with date of issuance of November 28, 2006 was adopted.

A Decision was adopted at the session on amendments to the Decision on founding the Serbian Building Directorate as a single member company with limited liability.

The government brought a Decision on amendments to the Decision on the network of social protection establishments.

The government gave Consent at today’s session on the Statute of the Fund for innovation activities.

Consent was given to the initiative for beginning the process of privatisation in the public company “Radio Television Sokobanja”.

The Information on the necessity of financing the project “Moderno Ropstvo” (Modern Slavery) was adopted at the session. The government set aside RSD 6 million for financing a television serial of 13 episodes, which aims to inform the public on the problem of human trafficking.

The government adopted the Information on the realisation of the project air cargo and logistics centre, and gave Consent to the decision of the managing board of the public company Nikola Tesla Airport to begin activates for selection of the most favourable bidder for the realisation of this project.

The Information was adopted on the need for signing the contract between the public railway company Zeleznice Srbije and the European Investment Bank for the project of renovating the railway station.

The government brought a Decision on appointing members of the Committee for approving the proposal for issuing national pensions to prominent artists.

The government adopted the Programme on amendments to the Programme for distribution and use of funds for solving the problem of waste from meat packaging plants for 2006.
