Naumov, Piebalgs to meet in Brussels

Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov will meet today in Brussels with EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs to discuss further strengthening of energy community and the importance of Serbia's energy system in the process.

The Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining says in a statement that they will talk about the issue of safe energy supply in the region which was a topic of particular interest at the recently held ministerial conference in Skopje.
Moreover, they will also discuss the ways to surpass electric energy supply issues in Kosovo-Metohija.
Naumov and Piebalgs will look at yesterday's EU energy conference in Brussels at which the EU Energy Development Strategy was adopted. The Serbian energy ministry's delegation also took part in the conference.
On occasion of Nikola Tesla's 150th birth anniversary, Naumov will present Piebalgs with the Nikola Tesla plaque introduced by the Serbian government, concludes the statement.
