The Serbian Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection stated that its delegation, led by Assistant Minister Cedomir Suljagic, will participate in the first Internet Governance Forum (IFG) in Athens.
The IFG was defined in late 2005 at a conference on development of information society held in Tunis, with the aim of setting up an organisation that would have a key role in connecting all participants in the process of Internet governance, regardless of whether they are representatives of states, private sector or citizens.
Serbia's priority is to have its representatives in this project who will take part in the work of the IFG organisation, in a way that is transparent and based on the results of modern democratic societies.
The Ministry's representatives will attend the inaugural meeting in Athens that will last until tomorrow because this Ministry is competent for all issues related to the Information society of Serbia.
