Prime Minister congratulates Science Day in Republic of Serbia

Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, congratulated Science Day in the Republic of Serbia to all scientists, researchers, professors, students and employees of scientific research institutions.

“Science Day and the 170th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest minds in the history of mankind, are an occasion to pay tribute to all our scientists who, with their knowledge, dedication and innovation, contribute to the development of Serbia and the progress of the entire society.

Nikola Tesla’s legacy obliges us to create conditions in which science will be one of the key drivers of the country’s development. Investing in science, research and innovation represents an investment in the future of Serbia and the quality of life of its citizens.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia remains committed to improving the scientific and research system, strengthening cooperation between science and industry and supporting young talents, convinced that knowledge and education are the foundation of sustainable development and social progress.

I congratulate all scientists and researchers on Science Day, with gratitude for their contribution to the development of our country and the desire to continue to achieve results for the benefit of Serbia and all of humanity,” the greeting reads.
