Milan Pajevic, the foreign policy advisor to Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus, met with Czech Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Petar Kolaz in Belgrade today.
Pajevic presented the government’s work results and foreign policy priorities, particularly its efforts to improve regional cooperation and integrate into European institutions.
The Czech Republic is ready to support the Serbian government’s reform efforts and continue cooperation with Serbia, said Kolaz.
The Czech Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Serbian government’s plan for a political solution to the problems in Kosovo-Metohija, calling on the international community to strengthen its presence in the province.
He also said he expects a democratic spirit to win in Serbia’s forthcoming presidential election.
Pajevic welcomed the Czech Republic’s support for Serbia so far, stressing that the country needs friends that have a deep understanding of the situation in the region.
