A meeting of the Operational Team for Serbia’s Accession to the European Union, led by Ambassador, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the EU and Chief Negotiator Danijel Apostolović, was held today at the Serbian government building.

A meeting of the Operational Team for Serbia’s Accession to the European Union, led by Ambassador, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the EU and Chief Negotiator Danijel Apostolović, was held today at the Serbian government building.
On this occasion, Apostolović spoke about the importance of the upcoming visit of President of the European Council António Costa to Belgrade, as well as about the topics of the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which will be held on 5 June in Tivat.
He briefed the Operational Team on the results of meetings he had held in Brussels in the previous period with the ambassadors of EU member states, representatives of the Political and Security Committee, as well as representatives of European institutions, advocating for the acceleration of Serbia’s accession negotiations with the EU.
Apostolović informed the Operational Team about the meeting he will hold with the chairpersons of all negotiating groups on 2 June on the topic of the recommendations from the European Commission’s (EC) Annual Report for 2025, assessing that it is necessary for the pace of their implementation to be significantly better.
He also announced that he will attend the meeting on the Reform Agenda on 2 June, as well as a session of the Public Administration Reform Council on 3 June, emphasising the exceptional importance of this issue.
