At today’s session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted several decrees, decisions and conclusions in the fields of finance, anti-corruption, international cooperation, education and other areas.
Members of the government adopted the Decision on the Formation of the Working Group to Monitor the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) of the Council of Europe.
The task of the Working Group will be to direct the work of state administration bodies in implementing these recommendations and activities related to the implementation of measures from the Action Plan for the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy for the 2024-2028 period. Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić is the Chairman of the Working Group.
At the session, the Conclusion was also adopted recommending that employers in Serbia allow members of the Islamic community not to work on the second and third days of Eid al-Adha, on 28 May and 29 May 2026.
The Conclusion on the continuation of the implementation of the World in Serbia project was also adopted, in view of the interest shown by a large number of member states and observer states of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The project concerns scholarships for learning the Serbian language in the 2026/2027 academic year and enrolment at higher education institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia in the 2027/2028 academic year for candidates from member states and observer states of the Non-Aligned Movement.
