Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dušan Kozarev today opened the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in Brno, headed by Honorary Consul Miodrag Škrbić.
Addressing those present, Kozarev emphasised that bilateral relations between the two countries are founded on traditional friendship, accompanied by continuous and substantive political dialogue at all levels, as well as a mutual aspiration to further enhance cooperation.
He noted that the initiative to open the Consulate of Serbia in Brno, headed by an honorary consul, was launched precisely with the aim of further improving the overall relations between Serbia and the Czech Republic, with particular emphasis on the significant potential for strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
He expressed confidence that Škrbić, through his professional reputation, personal capacities and extensive network of contacts, would make a significant contribution to the further development of bilateral relations, as well as to the promotion of Serbian culture and tradition, in cooperation with the Embassy of Serbia in Prague and Ambassador Berislav Vekić.
