Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović and Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Serbia Luca Gori handed over the keys to new waste collection vehicles to the Vidrak Public Utility Company in Valjevo today.
These are vehicles from donations from the Italian Government within the project "Support to the Serbian economy through the supply of goods to five line ministries in Serbia", which is implemented by the Ministry of European Integration.
Starović specified that the total value of this programme is approximately €13 million, and the funds are directed to key sectors – agriculture, education, energy, environmental protection and healthcare.
The Minister emphasised that the programme, through 44 procurements for sectors under the jurisdiction of five line ministries, will provide beneficiaries with agricultural and other machinery, passenger and ambulance vehicles, waste processing trucks, laboratory and computer equipment.
According to him, this programme is a good example of how concrete cooperation with development partners, member states of the European Union, brings visible results for all our citizens.
