Prime Minister visits Serbian national football team in Kovilovo

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica visited today in the Kovilovo sports centre the footballers of the Serbian national team who are there preparing for tonight’s qualification match for the 2008 European Football Championship against Armenia.
All members of the national team greeted the Prime Minister at the entrance to the Prezident hotel and president of the Serbian Football Association Zvezdan Terzic handed him the national team’s number 10 jersey with “For Serbia’s Welfare” emblazoned upon it
For the first time in history, recently in the Czech Republic, you played as national team of Serbia, in new team colours, with a new anthem. With new symbols and for Serbia’s welfare, I wish you continue to play well, as you have so far, said Kostunica in his address to the players and expert officials of the national football team.
During a working luncheon that followed, the Prime Minister spent half an hour talking with footballers and members of the coaching staff and management.
